The registration rules for Brussels

Image: Registration class 4 – entry without an environmental ticket

When entering the LEZ of Brussels, Green-Zones differentiates two registrations resulting from the division into low-pollutant EURO emission standards and older, more harmful EURO emission standards. On the Registry-Sticker, which was developed by Green-Zones in order to give a better overview on entry regulations in Belgium, this differentiation is expressed by the badge-classes 2 and 4.
In this regard, the city of Brussels has decided that in 2018 (01.01.2018 – 31.12.2018), the most polluting vehicles are not allowed to enter the LEZ, or only with an extra payment and the purchase of a day pass, which we call "Environmental Ticket" on our website. This applies first to the old diesel vehicles of the EURO emission standards 0 and 1.

All vehicles which meet the following entry requirements (with or without the payment of an additional charge for the environmental ticket), are allowed to enter the LEZ of Brussels.
Belgian and Dutch vehicles do not need to be registered since they already figure in the national database.
